Used caran d'ache watersoluble wax pastels, golden fluid acrylic, and some collage. Being the weekend had loads more time to play. This is still wet and needs to be finished off ..... but hey ho a face.

Dreams of Destiny
Do you have dreams? Do you believe deep down that that you have a special gift that can touch others in a special way that can make a difference???
What has happened to those dreams??? Have they got lost in the routine of daily life, the frustrations, the disappointment's......... and whatever else life throws our way???
It's time to dream again and to start those journeys of a hope and a future.
"A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step."
Today by faith I start to dream again, today I choose to begin that journey - some of my dreams will be journeys that will take fewer steps than others, whilst some are going to be a far longer journey with probably many stops and starts along the way. We need to start with small beginnings as from those great things can develop.

Often life and circumstances bury our dreams and we feel as if they have died Job puts it so well "For there is hope for a tree when it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and its shoots will not fail. Though its roots grow old in the ground and its stump dies in the soil, at the scent of water it will flourish and put forth sprigs like a plant." We need to get a scent of those buried dreams and start to revive and refresh them and begin that journey towards them once again one step at a time, one day at a time.

CATCH YOU ARE IT!
Life is like a game of Catch. The ball is thrown your way you run as fast as you can to Catch that ball and breathless and pushing forward, overcoming the obstacles in your way it somehow lands in your hands.
You hold on for dear life ... "Please God let me just make it to the other side without dropping it along the way." You eventually arrive through tears, sheer determination, much prayer and finally some laughter .... thinking this was not so bad and breathe a sigh of relief as all those negative things are released and you hold onto the positives of that wonderful moment of achievement.
But, Oh no ..... just as you think you are safe and have reached your goal, life sneaks up behind you, reaches out and once again says ...."You Are It!" ......... and so the game of CATCH goes on.

Be Brave - Be Fearless
Have been painting, experimenting and just releasing in faith what is on the inside to be expressed in my art. It is a wonderful and exciting journey that brings someting new each time. This is a HUGE step of faith in becoming fearless. I would like to thank all those wonderful friends, family and artists that have been so inspirational in being a part of this journey that is just the beginning.
Over the summer took a wonderful course with Jodi Ohl (Sweet Repeats is where her work can be found) and have so enjoyed just stepping into something new - thank you Jodi for being part of my wonderful journey and wishing you all the best in your new season.
Yesterday in solitude and loss
Feeling fragile and raw
I faced the deeper truth of
Today’s hopes and dreams
And journeyed forth in
Truth, laughter, love
And grew wings to venture
Into tomorrow
